Natural Remedies

 

To recuperate from pain caused by muscle spasms I always prefer to use natural remedies. I am very aware of what I put in my body, so I often research natural pain relief as opposed to immediately going for the medicine cabinet and grabbing a prescription. It is much healthier on your system to use ingredients found in nature. I exercise often and that means I get frequent aches and pains. Here are some of my favorite products and tips to relieve pain naturally.

Turmeric

Relieves inflammation: 1-2 capsules 1 x day. I use an organic brand called Eclectic Institute, which is available at Whole Foods.

Welleco’s Alkalizing Greens

This Super Elixir heals the body on a cellular level optimizing function of all 11 of your body’s systems 2 tspn 1 x day mixed with a full glass of water. This product uses organic ingredients and has done wonders for my overall health!

Mineral Water

Water is your best friend. It flushes out lactic acid buildup and toxins. I always keep a bottle of purified water with me and stay hydrated throughout the day and while exercising.

Heat + Ice

I like to alternate between the two to relieve inflammation and relax spastic muscles.

Epsom Salt Bath

This is great to soothe muscle tension. I use Dr. Teal’s Relax & Relief with Eucalyptus & Spearmint. It smells delicious and will help calm your nerves if you are uncomfortable from pain. Try it at the end of the day as it puts you in the perfect Zen zone before bed.
