Berry Antioxidant Bowl

I am all about loading up on antioxidants to keep my immune system healthy these days! I am not talking about popping a fizzy vitamin c pack when I am feeling under the weather; I am talking about taking preventative measures every day by packing natural organic nutrients into my body. Even stress can weaken our immune system making us more vulnerable to getting sick. I found that adding superfoods to my diet is a great way to keep my immune system strong and healthy.

I recently discovered maca, a root vegetable native to Peru, which happens to be a superfood. Yes, I get excited when I discover a new superfood to add to my diet, especially one that can help my body adapt to stress! This veggie has a ton of health benefits (some listed below) so I have incorporated the Navitas Maca Powder into my daily açaí bowl and it is delicious!

Berry Antioxidant Bowl

Ingredients

Açai Bowl Ingredients

  • 1 cup mixed frozen strawberries, blueberries and blackberries
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 2 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tbsp Navitas Açaí Powder
  • 1 tsp Navitas Maca Powder
  • 1 tbsp Navitas Raw Cacao Powder

Toppings

  • 1 tbsp coconut flakes
  • 1 tbsp Natierra Himalania Dark Chocolate Covered Chia Seeds
  • 1/4 cup Kind Healthy Grains Raspberry Clusters with Chia Seeds (granola)
  • 1/2 Aloha Chocolate Fudge Brownie Protein Bar

Instructions

  1. Mix all Açai Bowl Ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. 

  2. Pour into a bowl.

  3. Break up the protein bar into bite sized crumbles. Add on top of açai bowl along with other toppings and enjoy!
