Immune Boosting Winter Drink

Cold and flu season is upon us as we make our way into the winter. Now is a great time to start picking up some healthy habits that will boost your immune system. Just slice organic ginger and boil the pieces in water with a cinnamon stick for 15 minutes. If you don’t have a cinnamon stick don’t worry  you can sprinkle in some organic cinnamon powder after the drink is done boiling.

You will notice that pieces of the ginger break off into the boiled water. Grab a strainer and strain out these pieces along with the slices of ginger and the cinnamon stick.

Next add 1 tablespoon of Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar with mother and 1 teaspoon of raw, local honey. Give this drink a stir to combine and enjoy the yummy taste and soak in the health benefits!

Immune Boosting Winter Drink

Prep Time 17 minutes
Servings 1

Ingredients

  • 1.5 Cups Water
  • 8 Slices Organic Ginger
  • 1 Stick Cinnamon or a few dashes cinnamon powder
  • 1 TB Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (with mother) I recommend Bragg
  • 1 Tsp Raw Local Honey

Instructions

  1. Fill a pan with 2 cups of water and bring to a boil

  2. Add the ginger slices and a cinnamon stick. Boil for 15 minutes. (If you are using cinnamon powder add it at the end)

  3. Remove the pan from the stove and strain the liquid into a mug

  4. Add honey and apple cider vinegar

  5. Stir to combine
