Antelope Valley Poppy Fields
After sheltering at home for weeks in LA with this national pandemic Covid 19, it was time to get out of the house for a drive with my husband. With the baby’s due date quickly approaching, we will be stuck in our house for a different reason soon, so this girl needed one last little adventure. Since the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve is closed, we decided to drive to Lancaster, CA and pull off the road, safely in a remote area to admire the valleys blanketed with fields of bright orange poppies.
After being limited to our balcony and neighborhood walks for our outdoor time, this was a much needed break to elevate our moods. With all the recent rain, the drive alone through winding roads with vibrantly green mountain views was absolutely stunning. Days like this I feel so blessed to live in Southern, CA.
